You Can Just Do Stuff

The world is full of men waiting for a sign. Waiting for the stars to align. Waiting for a president to fix it, or a pastor to ask them, or a voice from the sky to tell them it’s time to act. But let me tell you something simple and true—you can just do stuff.

The Lie of Inertia

There’s a kind of spiritual gravity in our day that keeps men stuck in their pews and behind their screens. It's not that they lack strength. They lack faith. Faith to believe that God is already pleased to see His sons rise up. Faith to believe that He is for us, not against us. Faith that moves.

The devil doesn’t always come with a pitchfork. Sometimes he comes wearing a suit and offering easy reasons to do nothing. “Wait until you have more experience.” “Wait until the market shifts.” “Wait until you’re older.” But God’s Word doesn't call men to wait on convenience. It calls them to wait on the Lord—and when He says move, you move.

Godly Ambition vs Selfish Desire

Now, let me speak plain about something: ambition is not necessarily a sin. God made men to build. To expand. To plant vineyards and raise cattle and shape steel. The Bible commends the diligent man whose hand makes gain, whose fields produce, whose storehouse overflows—not because he hoards, but because he gives and leads and blesses.

But ambition unchained from the glory of the Lord? That’s a curse. A man who builds only for himself builds with sand. He stacks his barns full, but his soul is empty. Riches sought for self will rot the bones. The godless man climbs for status, not service. For ease, not excellence. And in the end, he’ll find his tower toppled, his name forgotten.

So if you aim to build, then build like a Christian. Aim high—but for His Kingdom. Seek profit—but wield it like a sword, not a pillow. Make money—but use it to fund the work of God, not just the comfort of your flesh.

You Already Have What You Need

There’s an old kind of courage buried in the bones of men—the kind that fought off wolves with a pitchfork and taught boys to saddle up when they were twelve. It’s not gone. Just covered in soft couches and TikTok sermons.

You don’t need a million dollars to start. You don’t need seminary to lead your family. You don’t need an angel to whisper, “Go.” You need to get up. Take stock of your skills. Look around your church. Find the men God has placed in your path. Ask them questions. Talk. Learn. Act.

Maybe it starts with fixing your own house. Maybe it starts with starting a business. Maybe it starts by walking across the sanctuary and shaking a father’s hand so you can ask to court his daughter.

Wherever it starts—it starts with action.

Faith Works

The man who lives by faith doesn’t need the whole map. He just needs the next step. He doesn’t wait for everything to feel right. He saddles up. Because he knows the same God who fed Elijah with ravens can provide a check in the mail or a handshake at just the right time.

I've seen it. You've seen it. You know it deep down. Now it's time to live it.
